AIFS – Jr. Accountant
AIFS is in need of a Jr. Accountant. The ideal candidate will display a strong desire to achieve success by performing responsibilities accurately and efficiently, with an eye toward understanding the ‘big picture’ even when working with the details. The candidate must have the ability to switch between tasks seamlessly, while handling rush priorities or multiple requests at the same time. The candidate must have the ability to communicate effectively with personnel of all levels within the Accounting Department and at the business units and must work well in a team setting while applying past lessons learned to new situations as appropriate and always looking to assists others if needed. The Jr. Accountant will repot to the Accounting Manager.

Au Pair in America – Program Administrative Assistant
Au Pair in America (APIA) has been placing au pairs with American families in 36 states since 1986 and is a leading provider of au pairs for over 5,000 host families each year. Provide administrative support to the regional program manager team. Monitor community counselor reports and assist regional program managers with report tracking and storage. Provide support to the regional program manager team with daily assigned tasks as well as special projects. Take customer calls as needed.

Responsiblities Include:

  • Prepares correspondence and materials in a professional manner
  • Answers phones, respond to emails and general inquiries
  • Scan documents to host family and au pair files as needed
  • Performs daily data entry based on information received from Regional Program Managers and Community Counselors
  • Prepares and distributes weekly and monthly reports for the RPM team

Temporary - American Institute For Foreign Study (AIFS)
Seasonal Positions in the AIFS Stamford Office
The American Institute For Foreign Study (AIFS) facilitates international exchange and educational programs throughout the world. Some of our programs include Camp America, College Study Abroad, Academic Year in America, AuPair in America and Summer Institute for the Gifted.

We are looking for individuals to assist us in the AIFS Stamford office during our high season in administrative, customer service and sales roles. Candidates applying for our seasonal positions will need to have strong attention to detail and excellent customer service skills. Previous administrative experience is a plus. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs is a must. These positions will be required to work overtime and on weekends throughout the summer.

Temporary - Academic Year in America (AYA)
Regional Director Assistant
AYA is seeking 2 Regional Director Assistants. Typically college students or recent grads are appropriate for this role. The RDA’s report to the AYA Placement Manager.

Responsibilities: Assist the AYA Placement Manager and Regional Directors to reach placement goals by

  • Calling leads to become host families
  • Actively managing incoming leads and prospective families for placement
  • Matching students with prospective host families
  • Assisting RDs with calls and emails
  • Calling high schools to gain admission for students
  • Scanning, copying, administrative duties as assigned
  • Using Saleslogix CRM to log in all activity

Temporary - Au Pair in America
Seasonal Placement Assistant
The placement assistant works as part of the placement team to support and enhance the matching process for families and au pairs through a proactive and systematic approach.

Primary Responsiblities:

  • Contact all au pairs set to interest by families for an update on matching progress.
  • Schedule appointments with au pairs at families request.
  • Follow up with au pairs families are having difficulty reaching.
  • Obtain feedback from au pairs regarding level of interest of families who have contacted them.
  • Alert London or Germany of any key issues regarding au pairs during the selection process. (Quality control issues, poor video content, cancellations etc.)
  • Keep public website current and profile varied.
  • Create special spotlights to highlight au pairs.
  • Hand select specific au pairs for families at coordinator's request.

Temporary - Camp America
Orientation Staff: Greeter/Driver
For nearly 45 years, Camp America has provided the very best in cultural exchange for campers and camp staff since 1969. We take pride in bringing the best of the world to camps safely, efficiently and with the utmost care. Camp counselors and support staff from all over the world teach a variety of skills at camp and bring with them their own unique cultures.

Camp America seeks Seasonal Orientation Staff to work at a hotel in Fairfield, NJ approximately May 19th – July 1st. Camp America brings over 3,000 international participants to attend an orientation at the hotel. Employees will have the opportunity to meet university students from around the world while gaining valuable work experience. Participants spend a night at our orientation hotel where they will learn even more about our program through an orientation and meet fellow staff before heading off to camp throughout the United States to share their culture with others. This is the perfect seasonal job for those interested in the fields of international relations, foreign studies and languages, hotel management, travel and tourism and more.

Orientation Staff: Greeter/Driver will be responsible for greeting and transporting small groups of participants between the New York City area airports, other transportation centers in New York City, and our orientation hotel. You will also be responsible for helping with hotel check-in and completing general office duties as assigned. A company van will be provided. Must be OK with early morning and late night shifts, schedules vary. Please note: Drivers must have a valid driver’s license (no special license required) and a clean driving record; 21+ preferred. You will need to report to our Fairfield, NJ hotel each day.
