Academic Year in America – Placement Manager
AYA, a not-for-profit high school exchange program, is seeking a creative and enthusiastic leader for the Placement Team. The Placement Manager is responsible for creating and executing an annual placement strategy to ensure timely placement of all students. This includes developing and coordinating marketing efforts including print, web and social media in addition to leading and motivating the internal and external placement teams to reach goals. The placement manager will be responsible for research and analytics including analysis of current market conditions, customer research and historical data in order to inform the placement strategy and give the program a competitive edge. Creativity and positive energy a must.

- Bachelors Degree
- Marketing experience – print, web, social media
- Communications background
- Experience in study abroad/an understanding of our mission
Academic Year in America – Regional Director
AYA, a not-for-profit high school exchange program, is seeking a Regional Director. This position reports to the Deputy Director and Placement Manager. Function is to promote and to expand participation in the Academic Year in America program by working closely with Local Coordinators, Overseas Partners and entire AYA team.
The Regional Director is responsible for placing students in a designated territory and meeting placement quotas and motivating a network of Local Coordinators who represent AYA in local communities. The Regional Director also provides support and supervision for students including mediation of issues and administering the disciplinary policy, including probation and disqualification. The Regional Director also provides on-going training for Local Coordinators and ensures that all program regulations are being followed. Emergency duty coverage required and night and weekend hours required during peak seasons.

Camp America – Operations Assistant
Camp America, a division of AIFS, has been placing international students at summer camps throughout the United States for the past 30 years. Camp America is one of the leading providers of international camp staff.
Camp America has a great opportunity for two individuals from January/February until the end of August to be a part of the operations team facilitating the logistics for camp counselor international travels. As Operations Assistant, you will be responsible for entering flight arrangements, maintaining travel to camp instructions, and speaking with both camp directors and international counselors on a daily basis.
You must have the ability to work 9am – 5pm, Monday – Friday with occasional overtime on evenings and one day per weekend in June. The ideal candidate(s) must have strong attention to detail, a friendly and confident phone manner, positive attitude, an ability to juggle multiple projects at the same time, and knowledge of Microsoft Office programs.
There is potential for one of the individuals to work at our arrival’s hotel in Fairfield, NJ, managing our incoming participants and seeing them off to camp. This would be a temporary management position for approximately one month starting at the end of May where you would live and work in Fairfield, NJ, with our small arrivals hotel team.

The American Institute For Foreign Study (AIFS) facilitates international exchange and educational programs throughout the world. Some of our programs include Camp America, College Study Abroad, Academic Year in America, AuPair in America and Summer Institute for the Gifted.
We are looking for individuals to assist us in the AIFS Stamford office during our high season in administrative, customer service and sales roles. Candidates applying for our seasonal positions will need to have strong attention to detail and excellent customer service skills. Previous administrative experience is a plus. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs is a must. These positions will be required to work overtime and on weekends throughout the summer.
