Academic Year in America – Placement Manager
AYA, a not-for-profit high school exchange program, is seeking a creative and enthusiastic leader for the Placement Team. The Placement Manager is responsible for creating and executing an annual placement strategy to ensure timely placement of all students. This includes developing and coordinating marketing efforts including print, web and social media in addition to leading and motivating the internal and external placement teams to reach goals. The placement manager will be responsible for research and analytics including analysis of current market conditions, customer research and historical data in order to inform the placement strategy and give the program a competitive edge. Creativity and positive energy a must.
All the items below are what we are looking for in a candidate:
- Bachelors Degree
- Marketing experience – print, web, social media
- Communications background
- Experience in study abroad/an understanding of our mission
AIFS Study Abroad – Admissions Officer
AIFS is recognized as a leading provider of study abroad programs. Since 1964, over 1.5 million students have traveled abroad with AIFS. With more than 50 years of experience, we have the resources and experience to provide what our students want and need in a study abroad program, and to safeguard their welfare around the globe.
The Admissions Officer is responsible for handling all aspects of the application and counseling process for each individual participant. This includes managing all pre-departure aspects of the assigned programs. The Admissions Officer reports to VP, Director of Admissions and Operations in the College Division.
Au Pair in America – Regional Program Manager
Au Pair in America (APIA), established in 1986, is the first organization to be designated by the U.S. government to offer a legal au pair program. Our field network consists of 178 representatives throughout the United States who act as the liaison between the host family, au pair and our Stamford office. The regional program manager covers a geographic region of the country and supervises the field network responsibilities for that area. Prior supervision and training experience is required. Proven experience with crisis management and mediation required. Strong administrative skills, ability to multi-task and negotiate financial matters with the ability to enforce policies and retain business. Seeking a high energy person with strong people skills who can support, motivate, coach and train others. Understanding of cultural differences required.
This position includes regular on call duty for emergencies that occur outside of office hours and overtime as needed. Bachelorís degree required.

Seasonal Positions in the AIFS Stamford Office
The American Institute For Foreign Study (AIFS) facilitates international exchange and educational programs throughout the world. Some of our programs include Camp America, College Study Abroad, Academic Year in America, AuPair in America and Summer Institute for the Gifted.
We are looking for individuals to assist us in the AIFS Stamford office during our high season in administrative, customer service and sales roles. Candidates applying for our seasonal positions will need to have strong attention to detail and excellent customer service skills. Previous administrative experience is a plus. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs is a must. These positions will be required to work overtime and on weekends throughout the summer.
