Richmond,
The American International University in London (The University)
is an independent, co-educational, non-profit international
liberal arts and professional studies university with a student
body of more than 1,000 from around the world. The
original Richmond College, founded in 1843, was a constituent
institution of the University of London until the founding of
the present University in 1972, which bears its name and occupies
its campus.
The
University is licensed to award degrees by the Department of
Education of the state of Delaware. It is accredited
by the Commission on Higher Education of the Middle States Association
of Colleges and Schools, one of six regional accrediting bodies
recognized by the U.S. Department of Education. The British
Open University also validates its degrees and it was the first
university in the U.K. to have its degrees validated by both
U.S. and U.K. authorities. All of Richmond’s degrees are
designated by the Department for Innovation, Universities and
Skills of Her Majesty’s Government in the United Kingdom.
About
the Position
The
position is an exciting opportunity for a self-motivated, dynamic
individual to become the U.S. Director of Admissions. This
individual will work out of an office in Central Boston with
administrative support. The U.S. Director of Admissions will
be responsible for developing and executing a diverse marketing
plan to recruit U.S. students to attend Richmond. He/she will
direct and manage the satellite Boston office including managing
two admissions staff, establishing and maintaining a US budget,
daily updating and maintenance of Recruitment PLUS database.
This individual will need to execute and administer mailing
campaigns, write publications and correspondence, and maintain
relationships with high school counselors and teachers.
The
right individual will have a minimum of 5-7 years admissions
experience. Richmond is looking for a candidate who possesses
a combination of recruitment skills and office management to
build the US admissions. Someone who is excited about being very
hands-on, organized and self-driven would be a great match. Strong
written, verbal, and analytical skills required. Recruitment
PLUS software and strong IT experience a plus.
