SIG Open House at Hillbrook School, February 7

LOS GATOS, CA – On Saturday, February 7, 2009, the Summer Institute for the Gifted (SIG) will hold an open house for its newest day program at Hillbrook School.

Parents of gifted and talented students in Kindergarten through grade 6 are invited to attend the open house for the new day program that runs from July 13 through July 31.

SIG's open house is designed to inform parents about program details, academic curriculum, and special program information. The event is hosted by members of the SIG staff and begins at 12:30 pm with registration, coffee and snacks. The schedule includes a presentation, question-and-answer session, and tour of the Los Gatos campus.

Created and offered by the Summer Institute for the Gifted for the first time in 2009, the day program at Hillbrook School is designed for students in need of activities that stretch their abilities, expand their knowledge, and engage them in creative and active learning. Students have access to Hillbrook facilities.

If you wish to attend the SIG open house at Hillbrook School on February 7, call (866) 303-4744 or e-mail sig.info@giftedstudy.com.

For more open house information and directions to the SIG campuses, visit www.giftedstudy.com.

SIG also offers their prestigious three-week residential program for gifted children in grades four through eleven at eight of American’s finest college campuses: Amherst College, Bryn Mawr College, Emory University, Princeton University, UC-Berkeley, UCLA, University of Texas at Austin and Vassar College.

Over the past twenty-four summers, SIG has expanded to include eleven residential sessions and twelve day programs. In 2008 alone, over 1,600 academically gifted students in Kindergarten through 11th grade participated in the three-week long SIG programs. SIG is a subsidiary of the American Institute For Foreign Study (AIFS) and is headquartered in Stamford, Connecticut.
