NSGT and the National Society of High School Scholars

STAMFORD, CT – The National Society for the Gifted and Talented (NSGT) today announced a new partnership with the National Society of High School Scholars (NSHSS) that will support the complementary missions of both organizations.

The partnership will allow members of both NSGT and NSHSS, an honor society that recognizes top academic achievers from high schools around the world, to receive exclusive member discounts on services and products as well as exciting educational opportunities. Additional benefits and initiatives will be announced as the partnership takes shape in the coming months.

"NSGT is pleased to partner with NSHSS," states Barbara Swicord, Ed.D., President and CEO of the Summer Institute for the Gifted and a member of the NSGT Board of Trustees. "Through this collaboration, both organizations will have the ability to create new opportunities for students and increase the amount of resources that our members have at their fingertips."

NSGT, a not-for-profit organization, strives to advance the development of high potential youth in the U.S. and abroad through educational and leadership opportunities, advocacy and exemplary programs and practices. NSGT sponsors the Summer Institute for the Gifted (SIG), a three-week program for gifted and talented children for students between the ages of 4 and 17.

The mission of the NSHSS, also not-for-profit, is to recognize academic excellence and to encourage members to apply their unique talents, vision and potential for the betterment of themselves and the world. Members are able to attend NSHSS events held at colleges and universities, receive monthly publications with valuable resources about college and program opportunities and apply for scholarships.
