in San Jose, Costa Rica...
Why Costa Rica?
Often called the "Switzerland of the America's" Costa Rica has a tradition of non-violence and Costa Ricans - Ticos, as they call themselves - are justifiably proud of their tradition of freedom and democracy. San Jose is Costa Rica's capital and largest city, with a population of more than one million, in a country with a total population of just over three million. It is located in the center of the country where the temperature is mild. With its varied micro-climates and spectrum of insects, birds, reptiles and plant life, Costa Rica is particularly suited for the study of biology, ecology and eco-tourism.
