At AIFS, our mission is to bring the world together. We are deeply saddened by the events unfolding in Ukraine. These acts of force and violence are in stark contrast to all we stand for and believe in. Our hearts go out to everyone affected by this conflict, especially the millions of innocent people living in the region who deserve a peaceful future.
While AIFS does not have any current participants located in Ukraine, we are committed to ensuring that all our participants feel safe and supported.
For nearly 60 years, AIFS has promoted the importance of global understanding across our family of programs. Our programs help young people from all over the world to understand each other’s qualities, values and differences. We believe in reaching across borders to build understanding and friendships that enrich lives and make the world a better place. Today, we remain resolved to developing a more peaceful future. At times like these, we believe the need for enhanced global understanding is greater than ever.
AIFS stands in solidarity with the people of Ukraine against these acts of violence and aggression. We look forward to the future and to a world that shares a common global vision of peace and equity.
